Chapter 5 Spare Time Activities

                   Unit 1: Shopping

Shopping has become one of the favorite things people do during their spare time.
For sure, there are funny moments when you did your shopping. Try to narrate an
          unforgettable shopping experience.

              Answer A:
I enjoy shopping with my best friend. Whenever we have free time, usually on weekends, we
visit discount stores, check out trendy items and bargain for our picks. We have been shopping
together for three years now, since we became friends, and my most unforgettable shopping
experience happened four months ago when I bumped into a shelf of shoes because I was too
busy chatting with my best friend. The whole shelf tumbled and several shoes were scattered.
It caught the attention of many shoppers and I was very much embarrassed. Fortunately, the
owner, a kind man, did not get angry. Instead, he helped me fix my mess. I was so gratified with
the man’s kindness. I have always bought shoes at his store since then.

              Points to emphasize in answering:

                   Cite your shopping routine.
[example: Whenever we have free time, usually on weekends, we visit discount
stores, check out trendy fashion items and bargain for our picks.]

Write the time when your experience happened.
[example: My most unforgettable shopping experience happened four months ago.]

Describe the things that took place.
[example: The whole shelf tumbled and several shoes were overthrown.]
