I don’t like chatting on the phone. I think it is a waste of time and money. First, I spend more
time explaining things on the phone than when I meet someone face to face. It usually happens
when one cannot understand what the other is talking about. I will share one instance. I called a
friend to ask if she can attend my birthday party on a Sunday. She told me that she had classes
on that day, so she couldn’t attend. However, I know that her school doesn’t hold any class on
a Sunday, so I verified it. Then, she told me she thought I said, “Saturday”. Secondly, it wastes
money. Technology today may provide us convenience, but it is too costly. I heard one time from
a friend that his cell phone charges went over his budget for it. With all these reasons, I think
chatting on the phone is not a necessary activity for me.
