Chapter 6 Hobbies and Interests
Unit 3: Surfing the Internet
The Internet is a very useful tool in many aspects of life nowadays. It can be used
in doing business, in researching, or simply spending one’s spare time. Give a
discussion on the things you do on the Internet.
Answer A:
I always use the Internet to do research. As we know, the Internet provides us information about
anything under the sun. The Internet has changed the lives of modern people. As a student, I
always need to do research for projects and reports in class. However, I don’t have much time
to go to a library and browse through old and dusty books. That’s why I opt to go online instead.
It’s instant, fast, and reliable. I can gather the information that I want with just a few clicks. I can
check on up-to-date data to help me deliver an excellent report. I can spend a shorter time with
just a couple of hours researching online compared to a day or two of leafing through books. I
need to save time, so I always go for surfing online for research.
Points to emphasize in answering:
Directly answer the Question. Give minor details about what the Internet provides.
