Chapter 6 Hobbies and Interests
Unit 5: Reading Books
Reading books is a favorite pastime. Tell me about the kinds of books you read and
the reasons why you find them interesting.
Answer A:
I usually read novels. I like drama novels or pocketbooks. I usually read fictional stories, like
those dealing with romance or family. I like it when the protagonists end up winning every trial
they face. I also have a penchant for historical novels. There are narratives about wars and
regimes, each filled with excitement and lessons about strategies in their ways of life. I learn
about how a nation or region battles it out against the antagonistic forces. The lessons range
from everyday trials to tribulations that affect the whole nation. All in all, reading fictional stories
give me the entertainment I look for, and it’s a hobby I think I can treasure.
Points to emphasize in answering:
Give the genre of the books you read.
