Chapter 3 Campus Life

Unit 1: One’s School

The school holds a special part in the growth of a person. It molds young minds
and becomes a venue for self improvement. Picture the features of your school and
explain its significance to the community or country.

Answer A:
It is my second semester as a freshman in this university. Our school is one of the top ten flagship
universities in our country. It is also one of the best in providing quality education to many
medical students. The school was founded in 1948 as an agricultural college. 35 years later, the
College of Medicine was established. Some of the nurses and doctors serving our community
graduated here. We have a wide campus that houses around two thousand students in 12
colleges. The school offers other undergraduate degrees aside from medical courses. Actually,
there are more students in the college of engineering and education compared to the number
of students in the college of medicine. The administration building is located near the school
entrance while the Office of the Student Affairs is situated near the soccer field. My favorite place
is the library, which is distant from the main campus. I could study well there. The school has
good facilities and classrooms favorable for learning. Most of the faculty members are competent
and approachable as well. So far, I enjoy my life as a student in this school.
