Lesson 4
Preparation
Gambling
It all started when my friend invited me to go to a casino. I tried playing a few
games such as the slot machines. I was having a beginner’s luck that day because I
kept on winning. That overwhelmed me and it made me want to play more. The next
day, I found myself playing at the casino again. From then on, I go there everyday
hoping to win more money and I always come home disappointed. I got to have that
jackpot! I spent most of my time gambling and my debt has piled up. I wanted to push
my luck. On the other hand, things are not going the way I expect them. Everything
went worse, my marital relationship, job and finances. Now, I’ve realized I need to
stop this addiction. I need to have my life back.
