                                                                            Introduction

“You can have brilliant ideas, but if you can’t get them across,
your ideas won’t get you anywhere.”
                                                                 - Lee Iacocca

English has emerged as the lingua franca in this age

of globalization. Communication is necessary not only for the
smooth operation of a business enterprise but also for the success
and growth of individual executives and professionals. Proficiency
in English is a mandatory requirement for any professional work-
ing in an international business environment. Inability to com-
municate in English may serve as an obstacle to an individual’s
                             professional and personal advancement.

are appropriate for intermediate level students. Contents include

importantly, each topic contains discussions that will develop the
students’ articulateness. Their creativity and reasoning ability will
definitely be put to the test.
