Boarding a Plane
A: Good morning, Sir. How may I help you?
B: Is it possible for me to upgrade my fl ight from economy to business class?
A: Let me check the availability fi rst. Please give me a couple of minutes to check it.
B: Ok. I will wait.
A: May I see your ticket and passport, so I could validate it in our system?
B: Yes, please.
A: Thank you for waiting. I am pleased to inform you that there is still one vacant seat in the
business class. Do you want me to transfer your accommodation?
B: Yeah, sure. That would be great!
A: Let me remind you that there will be an additional charge of $300 due to this transfer.
B: That would be fi ne.
A: Will it be Visa or a MasterCard, sir?
B: Just charge it to my Visa. Here it is.
A: Thank you sir. Please wait for a moment while I process your transfer.
1. What are the things that you should remember before getting or buying a plane ticket?
Sample answer:
In getting a plane ticket, I usually inquire for the availability of the flight schedule that would fit mine. Then, after checking the
flights, that is the time that I would start considering about the cost and packages that the airline company would offer.
2. Have you had any bad experiences when you were booking a flight?
Sample answer:
I had an unforgettable experience when I signed up for an overbooked flight. I was really hoping that I could get on that flight for it was the
only one suited for my schedule, but I was not able to get onboard and the airline company could not do anything about it. Therefore, I was
too late for my business trip.
3. Have you ever canceled a ticket or rescheduled a flight? If so, what did you say to the booking agent?
Sample answer:
Yes, I have. I told the booking agent that I would like to cancel my ticket and asked for the next available schedule of the same month.
