Can you repeat that again please?
A: I am sorry, but I did not catch what you said.
B: Oh, I apologize. Am I speaking too fast?
A: Yes, if you do not mind can you repeat that again please?
B: Sure. Anyway, your interview schedule is on April 21 at 3 P.M. Please proceed to Rm. 213 and
look for Mr. Wilbur Jenkins.
A: Okay. Thanks for the call.
B: You are welcome. See you on Monday. Bye.
1. Have you experienced an interview on the phone?
Sample answer:
Yes, I have experienced that when I applied for a scholarship in Nanyang Technological University. They had to interview me on the phone since
I only applied online. I can still remember how nervous I was during the interview.
2. Do you find it difficult to communicate with a foreigner on the phone?
Sample answer:
Sometimes it is difficult because it is hard to understand their accent. It is inevitable that you ask them to repeat what they said, and it reaches
a point when the person on the other line gets irritated.
3. How do you handle a phone conversation when the person you are speaking with has a hearing problem?
Sample answer:
It is difficult to speak with somebody who has a hearing problem. What I normally do is I try to speak loudly and slowly. However, if he/she
cannot really understand what I am saying then I ask for somebody whom I can speak with on his/her behalf.
