Evidence Write a New Scene

Catch Me if You Can is a play about Atalanta, a princess who is determined to
make her own choices about her life. At the end of the play, Atalanta and Young
John go their own ways. But the narrator tells the audience, “Perhaps some day
they will meet up again.”
Imagine that the two do meet again. Write a new scene for the play that builds on
the events in Catch Me if You Can to tell what happens at a future meeting. Be sure
to use elements of drama, such as character tags, setting, and stage directions.
Don’t forget to use some of the Critical Vocabulary words in your writing.

Make notes about Atalanta and Young John. Then make notes
predicting what you think might happen when they meet again in the
future. Be sure to include the setting for your scene.
