Starting a Meeting 회의 시작 Lesson13
Dialog
Kim Good afternoon, Mr. Brown. Are we ready to start today's meeting?
Brown Certainly. Could you tell me briefly what's on the agenda?
Kim Yes, in today's meeting, we'll be discussing the contract between
NANO and Tycon. As you already know, we're hoping to establish our
products in the U.S. market through this contract with Tycon.
Brown Yes, it's well understood. I'm positive we'll be able to accomplish that.
Kim Let's talk about the contract regarding our new line of products, Mr.
Brown.
Brown Very good. Our company is eager to help NANO gain ground in the
U.S. market. At this time, we would need to know what your marketing
strategies will be.
Kim They're quite diverse, as we're aiming for a number of markets outside
Korea. Please review this folder's contents. It contains examples of
each type of advertising we're considering for the U.S.
Brown Initially, Mr. Kim, what level of sales will NANO be aiming for in its
overseas markets?
Kim Well, in the early stages, we're projecting that international markets will
provide about 20% of our total sales. Of course we're hoping to raise
that percentage over time.
Brown Then, of total overseas sales, what do you expect the U.S. share to
be?
Kim We're hoping that sales in the U.S. will make up about 30% of the
international total.
Brown We will certainly put every effort into helping you achieve that goal.
Kim We know that you will. Now, let's discuss the contract conditions in
detail, all right?
Brown Yes, I'm fully prepared for that.
