Evidence Write a Journal Entry
PROMPT
In Inside Out and Back Again, a girl named Hà describes her experiences and feelings
after moving to America. At the end of the selection, Hà says she will write in her
journal about the “Most Relieved Day” when she makes two friends.
Imagine that you are Hà. Write the journal entry she might write to describe that day.
Use first-person point of view and evidence from the text, including imagery, to
describe the events of that day. Include some of the Critical Vocabulary words in your
writing.
