Make up a contract and sign
Frank: Everything contained in the contract No. 18491 for the fully Automatic Camera, FAC 1220 is
fine with me. Our company lawyers have also reviewed the contract, and they’re perfectly happy
with the way the clauses and policies are presented. They don’t have any questions. In addition,
they think that we have a good deal ahead of us.
Park: Well, finally we have come to some sort of conclusion on all the terms and conditions. It’s
been so easy to draft the contract, Mr. Frank. I guess, it’s also because you’re pleasant to work
with. Your staff is very efficient too. They’re very accommodating, and they work fast. So, since
everything is set up, let’s make up a contract and sign it. Is that ok?
Frank: That’s great! We can finally do business together. Shall I sign here, under the heavy line,
Mr. Park?
Park: Yes, please sign on that line Mr. Frank. We’ve finally reached an agreement on this contract
and we thank you for your business offer. I hope this is only the beginning of a long lasting
business partnership. Frank: Thank you for your deep consideration. I’m satisfied with this
contract and very pleased about our new venture. I’m sure that we’ll be working again to-
gether.
1. How long does it usually take you to close a deal and finalize a contract?
Sample answer:
The process usually takes a longer time with new clients or business partners. This can some-
times take a month to a month and a half. The process usually takes two weeks with old busi-
ness partners.
2. Have you ever made business without any written contract? If yes, how was
the experience like?
Sample answer:
Yes, we have, and unfortunately, it was not a very good experience. We didn’t have any contract
because we trusted our business partner. We got to finish our deal, but there were so many
confusion and misunderstanding throughout the deal. It really is better if there was a written
contract, which we could consult any time if had some questions.
3. Have you ever had legal complications in any of the business deals you en-
tered?
