WBL Students Gain Valuable Work Experience
Broome High School senior John Fowler is participating in a DMTC work-based learn-
ing experience with Morgan Corp. This company has been in existence for 75 years
and specializes as general contractors for heavy industrial work. John is gaining valua-
ble on-the-job training and can be seen here welding a Caterpillar Pan Scraper. John
will be a completer in the Welding
program at DMTC this spring.

gy Completer who is also com-
pleting a co-op at Morgan Corp.

Cody Harris, a Broome High School senior who is a Welding
Completer at DMTC and a Plumbing Completer at the Mas-
ter Skills Center, is participating in a work-based learning
experience at IVI in Inman, SC. This company specializes in
industrial ventilation and metal fabrication to help compa-
nies comply with The Clean Air Act of 1990. Cody is pic-
tured grinding a steel plate as part of the preparation of an
industrial ductwork fabrication project.
Nelson Silas, a Spartanburg High School senior and Automo-
tive Completer, is participating in a co-op at the Worldwide
Kenworth Dealership in Spartanburg. Nelson is pictured
working on a Kenworth Truck at this full-service dealership,
which features 27 service bays and a well-stocked parts de-
partment. Their large inventory helps ensure that parts are
available to truck owners and operators as well as local
fleets in Spartanburg and surrounding areas.
