DMTC Recognizes Service of WBL Coordinator Theresa Perry
Theresa Perry, Industrial Relations
(WBL) Coordinator, is retiring this year
after serving DMTC and District 3 the
last seven years. Perry is a South Car-
olina native who has mainly resided in
Spartanburg and Charleston. With a
degree in media arts, she first began
her career in a museum planetarium
where she wrote and produced shows
designed for all age groups. It was
through these educational presenta-
tions that led to her interest in teach-
ing. She has previously worked in Districts 1 and 7 as a special education teacher
and at Swofford Career Center as a career exploration and CATE enrichment teacher.
She has two children close to finishing college, so she plans to work part-time until
they are done, but she also plans to spend much time traveling and listening to her
husband’s band play on the weekends. Mrs. Perry has done a great job building a
strong work-based learning program at DMTC, and she will be truly missed! We wish
her all the best in her well-deserved retirement.
