When one brings “Like-Minded” people together to implement good strong strategies towards
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, something amazing happens and it inspires everyone around

them. As the team and strategic partners of Pan Africa Exchange continue to promote the African
continent as an investment destination and develop strategies that include the participation of
women, youth and persons with disabilities.

The strategy for the future, is to promote foreign direct investment into South Africa by
identifying and working with “Innovative Entrepreneurs” who have the capacity to grow their
brands regionally and internationally, with the ultimate objective being a positive impact on the
United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

“I am humbled and thrilled to have accepted this
award, on behalf of the whole team at the Qhubeka Charity! Many thanks to all the judges
and the organisers of the South African Chamber of Commerce Awards! Qhubeka is a small
but highly effective charity, and these moments of recognition are much cherished for all
the hard work put in by our whole team.”

Qhubeka is a global charity that moves people forward with bicycles in Africa. People earn
bicycles through our programmes, improving their access to schools, clinics and jobs. A
bicycle is a tool that helps people to travel faster and further, to generate income and to carry
more. In the face of extreme and persistent poverty, bicycles can change lives by helping to
address socioeconomic challenges at the most basic level – helping people to get where they
            need to go.

Qhubeka is a Nguni word that means “to progress”, “to move forward”. Bicycles help people move
forward. With a bicycle, a person can travel faster and further, and carry more. Bicycles help people

to change their lives. They are an accessible, reliable, affordable form of personal transport. We
measure the success of our programmes by their sustained impact over a decade. If we return to
an area after 10 years, our hope is that we will find fresh Qhubeka bicycle tracks on the ground.
