Nowadays, we have various ethnic groups of people living on this little island, especially the

people from southeast Asia. As a result of the policies for them to take on the certain type of jobs,
their negative impression was built in Taiwanese people’s mind. Furthermore, as a result of the
latest news about a big spread of Covid-19 caused by foreign labors, their image was worsened
and worsened. They need to try harder to survive in this unfriendly environment, working for the

minimum wage with extremely high commissions. Since this laboring conditions led to a huge
gap in social status, ethnic image and salary, Taiwanese people subconsciously saw them as
inferior. Even until now, social injustice and bias has been chronically affecting our perception and
assumption about them, which might just be indecent and somewhat disrespectful.
