What is synthetic hair?
The first synthetic hair was developed in Japan in the 1960’s when the
world went mad for wigs. Human hair stocks were in limited supply, so
the manufacturers looked for a man-made alternative solution that would
never run out. Synthetic hair is a fibre similar to a minute fibre-optic
cable. The advantages are that supply will never run out, it is pre-curled,
coloured and cut into a style. To maintain you only have to wash and
shake dry. The great disadvantages are that can not use any heat to dry or
restyle this synthetic hair, also it is impossible to chemically straighten,
curl or colour synthetic hair.
What is the best type of hair?
There is no “Best type”, only hair in good condition or hair that is weak

twice as much hair making it prone to tangling through bulk. The best
type of hair is 100% Remi human hair without any synthetic fibre or Yak
hair added, this is difficult to spot, almost impossible until you come to
curl or colour it.

source for Caucasian hair, also Indian hair is very similar to Caucasian
hair, and since the quarterly Temple human hair auctions India has
become a big player in the human hair market. Brazilian and Indonesian
hair suppliers are becoming hair suppliers that both the Caucasian and
Black hair consumer’s desire. At present these countries are as far as I
