How is it possible to source human hair for Caucasian people?
The main human hair products for Caucasians are hair extensions, Long
hair in itself is very expensive, but actual Caucasian human hair comes at
a very high price and limited supply, which realistically takes it out of the
mass market. The importers know that there is a potentially high demand
in the market place if they can get the pricing right. Until recently the
factories have offered Chinese hair as an alternative source, because it is
thick and strong, making it possible to survive the entire number of
chemical processes it has to goes through to match Caucasians colours
and curl patterns. Indian Hair is the perfect match for Caucasian hair in
length and thickness, However, Indian hair only comes in one colour just
like Oriental hair.
Chinese factories are just coming to terms with how to convert Indian
hair into hair products, some factories are treating it the same as Oriental
hair, and are experiencing over processing which causes matting once the
hair is wet. Most Caucasian hair is mainly short, so this would normally
be used for products that require short hair, such as Toupees and also
short wigs on very light silk bases. These wigs are likely to be custom
made to fit the wearer at a cost of thousands of pounds. Much Caucasian
hair is used in the film and television industry for Toupees, Wigs, Beards
and Moustaches. Indian hair is a suitable thickness and texture for use in
all hair products throughout the whole world, except Black hair where a
heavier weight is preferred for less tangling. Indian hair is bought direct
from the Indian Temples. For hair needed to manufacture goods longer
than 18 inches it is preferable to source Indonesian hair which is still
