2 THE SOJOURNER
NATIONAL PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Good Day Brothers and fellow Sojourners. I want to thank all of you for your confidence and
faith in me for electing me to lead our Order for the 2025-2026 Sojourner year. I will do my
best, and with your support make this coming Sojourner year a good one. My Lady Shirley and
I thank those of you who attended the ANC in Omaha this year and we hope to see many of
you in Madison, Wisconsin next year. I will let my resume speak for itself.
There have been many changes since the 2024 Annual Communication. First the Mid-winter
format was changed to a shorter format, this was done for several reasons. Next came the New
Horizons Program. Happily, we reached the $100,000 dollar threshold at the 2025 ANC. Just a
couple of months ago the National Office physically moved to new quarters. This was a very
positive move made possible by several dedicated Brother Sojourners. Although our
Webmaster has agreed to stay on for a while, we are looking for his replacement.
I am asking that if you haven’t already done so, please support the New Horizons Program, even with a one-time
donation to help build the fund. Let’s work towards a goal of One Million Dollars. That would give us sustainability.
Another item is your Area Conference and Encampments. Please send the National Secretary a “Save the Date” three to
four months out, so that your National Officers and I can attend, if possible.
I want to bring your attention to communication. It was discussed at the ANC and a dedicated Brother and Sojourner
(Ton Gordon) has been working diligently to fix it. He has been working to update EMAIL ADDRESSES and
PHYSICAL HOME ADDRESSES. There are approximately 7,800 Sojourners and about 2,000 have NO or a bad email
address. I know some of you do not have email, but for those of you that do, please update your email address with your
Chapter Secretary as well as your home address so he can update our membership management system.
We are a TEAM and although I may be the Leader my line of communication is always open and I welcome your
comments and suggestions. We are working on the Mid-winter and there will be more regarding it in the next few
months.
My Lady and I will be attending Founding Forward in July at Valley Forge, PA as I feel it is an obligation to represent
the Order and its members. I will report on it in my next article.
Keep growing our membership, visit your Blue Lodges, York Rite and Scottish Rite bodies, District meetings, Shrine
and other Masonic events. Print the Trifold, promote Annual Memberships and keep your Ladies involved.
Thank you again for your confidence and the privilege to serve you. I sincerely hope to see many of you along the
way.
