BSA Leader, (1982-98) and has served as Unit Commissioner, Assistant Scoutmaster, Committee Chairman, Committee
Secretary, and hike chairman. He is also an avid reader of books, mainly regarding the history of our nation. He also
enjoys travelling and was formerly a Civil War re-enactor.
Military: He was stationed at Scott AFB, IL, from July 1969 - January 1973. He worked in HQ MAC/DPDS taking
care of promotion folders for all officers in the Military Airlift Command. He also served for nearly two years as
Squad Leader of the Military Airlift Command (MAC) Honor Guard, performing at numerous funeral and ceremonial
flag details. After being discharged in January 1973, and wanting to complete his degree using the GI Bill, and
needing a part time job to help out with the bills, he joined (1973),the Missouri Air National Guard (MOANG),

serving in HQ 157th TCG personnel office and later the 131 CES retiring in 1998. He attended the 22nd Air Force
NCO Leadership School at Norton AFB, California as well as the Training NCO course at Chanute AFB, Illinois. His

duties during his career including serving as Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of the Headquarters 157
Tactical Control Group Personnel Office; Training NCO at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri; NCOIC of Production Control;

and NCOIC of the 131 Civil Engineering Squadron. He (MAC) Honor Guard, performing at numerous funeral and
ceremonial flag details. In 1994, CCM Cauchon was selected as the Command CMSgt for the State of Missouri where
his duties included acting as the Air Force Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Adjutant General of the Missouri National
Guard and the Assistant Adjutant General of the Missouri Air National Guard. In this position, he was ultimately
responsible for matters influencing the health, morale, welfare, and professional development of more than 2,500
Missouri Air National Guard personnel. His military decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with one oak
leaf cluster, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal with one
bronze star, Missouri Meritorious Service Medal, Missouri Conspicuous Service Medal, Missouri Commendation Medal
with one oak leaf cluster, Missouri 20-Year Service Medal, and the Missouri State Emergency Service Medal, with one
oak leaf cluster.
Masonic History: Brother Peter G. Cauchon was raised a Master Mason on 3 March 2007, served as Master (2009-
10), and served as Treasurer for 10 years, all in George Washington Lodge #9 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He served as the

District Deputy Grand Master of Division C of the 27 Masonic District of Missouri (2010-12). In the Valley of Saint
Louis in Scottish Rite, he served as Treasurer of (2008-09), as Venerable Knight of the Knights of Saint Andrew (2011),
as Vice President of the KCCH Association (2016-17). Brother Peter G. Cauchon was coronated a 33° I.G.H. (2017) and
performs as part in the 33° on the Coronation Cast (2017-Present). He served as the Master of Kadosh (2023). He
currently serves as Co-Chairman of the Americanism/ROTC Committee for both the Scottish Rite and St. Louis Chapter
#22 of National Sojourners and as Vice President of the Scottish Rite Cathedral Preservation Association. In DeMolay,
Brother Peter G. Cauchon is a member of the Saint Louis Preceptory (2008-Present) and is a DeMolay Legion of Honor
(Honorary). He has also received the Sword of Bunker Hill Degree.
National Sojourners and Heroes of ‘76: Brother CCM Peter G. Cauchon joined St. Louis Chapter #22 on 16 July
2009 and served as Chapter President (2012-13) and as Commander of the Albert Pike Camp (2013-14). He has since
become a multiple member (MMIP) of fifteen other Chapters and is a Plank Owner in the New Horizons Campaign. He
currently serves as Co-Chairman of the Saint Louis Chapter #22, Americanism and Bridge of Light Committees. Peter is
a member of the chapter’s flag team and has done numerous flag presentations and programs since becoming a Hero of
’76. At the national level, Brother CCM Peter G. Cauchon was appointed Deputy Area Representative for the Middle
Central North Area (MCA—2015) and has since been appointed as Middle Central North Area Representative. He
became a National Officer in 2016, when he was elected to the Committee of 33, later becoming an Assistant Task
Group Leader, and earning Emeritus Status (2025). He was elected as a member of the Royal Order of Barrow Wheelers
(2018). He has also served as an ex-officio member of the Chapter Revitalization and Chartering Committee (2015-25),
and has served as a member of the Incentives and Awards Committee (2015-25), the last 5 years as Chairman. He is also
a member of the Bridge of Light and the mericanism Committees. Brother CCM Cauchon was appointed National
Sentinel in 2017, by National Commander Capt. James F. Benson Jr., and rose steadily to be elected National
Commander (2025-26). He served on the Heroes of ’76 Manual Committee (2024-Present), Collingwood Library and
Museum on Americanism Board of Directors (2024-26),
