GARDEN STATE CHAPTER #438, Chris Sands, Secretary. Regional Rep (NJ-PA-16) Chris Sands

presented the National Sojourners Essay Contest National Championship first place award to Cadet Nico
Cordova from the Marine Academy of Science & Technology (MAST) at their annual awards
ceremony. Chris Sands and Chapter President Michael Hrycak attended the first Army 250th Birthday event at
the Founding Forward Medal of Honor Grove on 13 June. The chapter presented 37 National Sojourners
Medals to ROTC/JROTC schools this year.

PIKES PEAK CHAPTER #293 - Air Academy High School, located on the Air Base portion of the US Air
Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado held its Annual Awards Ceremony for its United States Air
Force (USAF) Junior Reserve Officer Training Course (JROTC) Cadets on April 21, 2025. The National
Sojourner award was presented by Bro. (Col) Paul L Bailey, USAF (Ret) to Cadet MSgt Hannah Leonard at
the ceremony.
