NATIONAL AMERICANISM ESSAY CONTEST WINNERS

The winners of the National Sojourners Americanism Essay contest for 2022-2023 were:

 1st Place: Miss Kathryn R. Homa, $3,000 award, sponsored by Old Dominion Chapter #364, Fairfax,
Virginia
 2nd Place: Mr. Wyatt P. Petula, $2,000 award, sponsored by Harrisburg Chapter No. 76, Harrisburg,
PA

 3rd Place: Mr. Grant J. Smith, $1,000 award, sponsored by Garden State Chapter No. 438, Newark,
NJ

She will be attending Duke University in the fall on Academy of Science and Technology (MAST), a
an Army ROTC Scholarship. magnet school in Monmouth County, NJ. The cadets
must interview to be accepted. It is located on Sandy
Hook-National Recreation Area, in Fort Hancock. At
the same ceremony, Cadet Tejas Rajan was presented
the National Sojourners Medal.
