A Note from Cassandra
It might be hard to believe, given the times, but I have bloomed along with The
Lotus. It’s been an enlightening experience these past few months, getting the
team together, deciding on topics and layouts with my co-editor, consulting with
the faculty, and most importantly, putting The Lotus together. Albeit, the time
has come for me to bid adieu, but not with a heavy heart. I have profound
confidence in Jade and Mithil, given the mind-blowing edits they’ve put together
this time. It is with pride and nostalgia, that I part with The Lotus, eager and
excited to witness its journey ahead.

The Lotus is the voice of the students, and as much as these are our words, there
are so many people behind the scenes, holding the mike, giving us the
opportunity to be heard. So, let’s start with the ones who make it all possible:
Sir Gaurav, Ma’am Alisha, Sir Augustine and Ma’am Sharmila. Thank you for
giving us a voice and guiding us every step of the way.
A huge shout out to Ma’am Valerie for helping us on the technical side of
things and to Sir Oscar, for constantly pushing us in the right direction.
All clip arts and some of the page backgrounds are from Pinterest. All written
works are original, and compiled by our amazing team of writers who make this
entire endeavor possible.
To our guest contributors, Ronan, Synnove, Kyra and Aryan, and our ‘For the
People, By the People’ columnist, Vasundhara, thank you for sharing your work
with us. We’re so glad you chose our platform to express yourself and we truly
appreciate the support.
We appreciate anyone and everyone who shares their art with the Lotus, be it
something written or drawn. We encourage you to keep creating, and when you
do, don’t forget to drop us an e-mail. We love featuring your art, photographs
and writings; but most of all, we appreciate your talent, and everything you
bring to the table.
