FROM THE EDITOR’S DESK PC

Hey everyone! I’m literally pinching myself as I write this because I
didn’t think we’d get here. This is my first time editing the Lotus, and

you might have some questions, so let’s catch up. Our editors,
Cassandra Carvalho and Anezka Fonseca were caught up with their

exams this month and we wanted to give all of you’ll, our wonderful

readers, an early Christmas present, and that’s where I come in. Hi,
I’m Jade and along with my co-editor Mithil Anup, we will be taking

you through this journey over the next year.

A huge shout-out to Cassandra, Anezka, and those who came before,
Akanksha Mahabal and Sihaam Naik for everything we have here

today. Mithil and I are so grateful that we get to do work that’s

meaningful to us, but that wouldn’t be possible without all these
amazing people who came before us.

Life is a culmination of stories, whether in the form of words, music

or art; there’s always a world of stories waiting to be discovered.

Thank you for sharing yours with us. Through the Lotus, we hope to
start conversations and share memories as we go through our days. In

the uncertainty of our world today, we promise to always be there to

listen. We introduced the guest column in this issue and we hope that
you share the things you hold to yourself.

I look forward to the year ahead, to all the things we’ll learn and the

experiences we’ll have.
