FROM THE FCA PRESIDENT
Warm greetings from the Finance Corps Association (FCA)! I hope this
message finds you and your family in good health and high spirits. The past
few months have been steady for Sahib and me as we adjust to our new roles
and responsibilities; we’re finally settled in and ready to dive into our work.
We have some exciting initiatives lined up for the FCA, so please stay
engaged and informed.
First, I want to extend a warm welcome to COL Robert L. Le’iato as the 43rd
Commandant of the U.S. Army Finance and Comptroller School and Chief of
the Finance Corps. CSM (R) Penn
COL Le’iato is also a proud lifetime member of the FCA. Congratulations to you and
your family on this tremendous achievement! The FCA team and I look forward to your vision and
our continued partnership with the schoolhouse on all initiatives related to the Corps.
Now, let’s discuss awards. The FCA is committed to recognizing the accomplishments and
contributions of individuals within the Finance Corps. In partnership with the Finance and
Comptroller School, we administer the Awards and Recognitions program, which includes five
leadership awards for deserving students:
• AIT: CSM Daisy C. Brown
• ALC: SGM Robert W. Johns
• SLC: CSM Paul Morissette
• BLOC: MG Emmett J. Bean
• CCC: LTC Lewis L. Hawkins
There are five additional award recognitions. The Finance Corps Association (FCA) sponsors all
Finance Corps and institutional awards except the Distinguished Member of the Regiment (DMR),
which is established by AR 600-82, and the Honorary Member of the Regiment (HOR):
• Honorary Member of the Regiment (HMOR)
• MG Nathan Towson Medallion
• Distinguished Member of the Regiment (DMR)
• BG Robert C. Goetz Medallion
• Hall of Fame Induction
To submit nominations and recommendations for these awards, please visit the FCA website at
Awards (fincorps.org). Review the award criteria and let’s recognize the Soldiers and Civilians who
truly deserve it.
Also, it’s time to nominate our Hall of Class for 2025 to be inducted during FCA Week at Fort
Jackson. Nominations are open now until December 1, 2024, and the Class of 2025 will be
announced on March 1, 2025.
Lastly, save the date! The upcoming 2025 Finance Corps "Regiment" Ball will take place on Friday,
April 25, 2025. Please mark your calendars for Finance Corps Association "Regiment" Week,
scheduled for April 22-26, 2025. A full schedule of events will be released once finalized, so stay
tuned!
Let’s continue to educate, teach, and mentor our young Soldiers, Civilians, and future members
about the Corps so they support their profession organization - the FCA.
“To Support and Serve!!”
