HOW WBU IS ORGANIZED
The Rector (Honorary) is the chief academic and administrative officer, with overall
responsibility for the direction, organization, administration and programme of the WBU.
The Rector also holds the rank of an Executive Council Member of The WFB.
The WBU Council is responsible for devising the principles and policies that govern
the University’s operations, and for considering and approving the budget and work
programme.
The Rector as an Executive Officer of the University also holds the position of the
Council Secretariat. 1
When the University expands to The WFB Regional Centres each Regional Centres
should have its own Director, advisory board and staff.
As part of The WFB family of organizations, the University maintains close working
relationships with other of The WFB headquarters and its regional centres, programmes,
commissions, funds and convention secretariats.
MANAGEMENT GROUP
The Management Group is a forum of senior WBU personnel that considers policy
development, strategy, planning, and other priority issues. It is chaired by the WBU
Rector and includes as members the Deputy Rector, Assistant Rector, the Director of
Administration, and the Executive Officer. The Group meets on a regular basis to review
developments and address the evolving needs of the University.
