An oilfield services company Client reached out to our law firm for help collecting for

work that had been done for a major oil company. The Client had been frustrated in all its

attempts to get payments despite communicating with the company’s field operations
manager and the payables department at this huge company. The invoices were past due

and deadlines for filing a mineral lien were approaching.

Before filing the mineral lien, the attorney at our Firm wrote to the General Counsel at

this major oil company who knew our reputation informing him that a mineral lien would
soon have to be filed. The letter from one lawyer to another explained the efforts that had
