Although the debt was a large sum, we were promptly contacted by the Associate

General Counsel of the oil company with the following messages:

· The field operations manager had been fired, and

· The invoices were being paid in full immediately by wire transfer.

It is an unfortunate fact that even when there is not a dispute over what you are owed,

sometimes your lawyer has to talk to their lawyer to get paid. The good news was that no

lien was filed and no lawsuit was required. The business relationship with the Customer
was also kept intact for more work in the future.
