Overview
1. The camshaft position sensor is used to measure the speed and phase position of engine. The camshaft
signal sensor together with the crankshaft position sensor provides the correct stop signal for Cylinder 1 to
ECU. If this sensor fails, the engine is hard to start.
2. After the crankshaft position sensor becomes invalid, the camshaft position sensor can substitute the
crankshaft position sensor to start the engine The failure of camshaft position sensor is presented mainly in
that the engine is hard to start
