Diagnosis- illumination

3. Checking harnesses
(a) Use a multimeter to measure resistance between pin 85 of illumination relay R10 and pin 14
of combination switch.
(b) Use a multimeter to measure resistance between pin 9 of combination switch and ground
B028.
Resistance: ≤2Ω
(c) Use a multimeter to measure resistance to ground of pin 85 of illumination relay R10.
Resistance: >1MΩ
Are check results normal?
Yes > Go to step 4.
No > Repair or replace harnesses.
4. Checking combination switch 04

(a) Check combination switch.
Resistances:

Use a multimeter Specified
Condition
to connect pins value
Low beam switch 9 - 3 > 1 MΩ
OFF
Low beam switch
ON 9 - 3 ≤ 2 Ω
High beam switch
OFF 9 - 12 > 1 MΩ
High beam switch 9 - 12 ≤ 2 Ω
ON

Are check results normal?
Yes > Replace bulbs.
No > Replace combination switch.
