Diagnostic Procedure

1. Checking rear fog light switch

(a) Remove rear fog light switch (refer to “Chapter 73 Instrument Panel/Combination

Meter/Cigarette Lighter-Instrument Panel, Replacement").

(b) Check rear fog light switch.

Resistances:

04 Condition Use a multimeter Specified
to connect pins value
Rear fog light 9 - 6 > 1 MΩ
switch OFF
Rear fog light 9 - 6 ≤ 2 Ω
switch ON

Are check results normal?
Yes > Go to step 2.
No > Replace rear fog light switch.
2. Checking harnesses

(a) Use a multimeter to measure resistance of harness between pin 2 of three-in-one controller

B004 and pin 1 of B105.
(b) Use a multimeter to measure resistance of harness between pin 1 of C105 and pin 4 of C102.

(c) Use a multimeter to measure resistances of harnesses between pin 4 of C102 and pins 6 of
left and right combination taillights J002 and J005.

(d) Use a multimeter to measure resistances of harnesses between pins 4 of left and right

combination taillights J002 and J005 and ground.
Resistance: ≤2Ω

(e) Disconnect connectors of left and right combination taillights J002 and J005, and use a
multimeter to measure resistance to ground of pin 2 of three-in-one controller B004.

Resistance: > 1MΩ
Are check results normal?

Yes > Go to step 3.
No > Repair or replace harnesses.
