Vera´s dad is a watchdog journalist who covers and
fact-checks important news stories all over the world.
He possesses an uncompromising dedication to his work,
which strains the relationship with his daughter. He
used to work together as partners with Vera’s mom,
Maggie, before she died in a terrorist attack in
Afghanistan, and they shared a deep passion for exposing
the truth. Despite her admiration for her father’s
calling, Vera resents how little time he spends with
her.
