African Masks

n their Art classes, Year 6 students embarked on a creative journey into the vibrant
world of African traditions during their arts lesson this week! With balloons as moulds
Iand papier-mâché as their medium, the children showcased incredible imagination

and attention to detail as they carefully sculpted and painted traditional African masks.

This activity was more than just an art project—it was an exploration of history, culture,
and storytelling. Each mask became a canvas for bold colours, intricate patterns, and

striking designs inspired by African heritage.
