YEAR 10 STUDENT LEADERS LEADERSHIP TRAINING YEAR 10 STUDENT LEADERS LEADERSHIP TRAINING
The prefect training, attended by all
33 student leaders, was scheduled
Tfrom 3:15 to 5:30. From the discussions,
I learned valuable lessons. We emphasized
assertiveness as the most effective com-
munication style, watched a video on lead-
ership attributes emphasizing listening and
kindness, and practiced public speaking
with feedback for improvement. We delved
into the school’s mission statement, sharing
perspectives and aspirations.
Lastly, I gained insights applicable not only
to leadership at Regent Secondary School
but also to personal representation else-
where. We concluded by discussing our du-
ties. Overall, the training was crucial, and I
believe my peers also found it beneficial.
