he students undertook an investigation into
the conditions that allow mould to grow on
Tbread, carefully controlling and adjusting
variables to ensure a fair test. Over the course
of two weeks, they observed and recorded daily
changes, tracking how mould developed under
varying conditions.
Their findings revealed that mould thrives best
in warm, dark, and moist environments. In these
conditions, mould spores settle on the bread
and feed, leading to visible growth. This sparked
lively discussions among the students about the
different colours of mould, which reflect the
diversity of mould species.
