Reinforcing Grammar Skills

nouns, adjectives, prepositions, conjunctions, and adverbs. Each student
Areceived a set of mixed examples representing these parts of speech, which
they then cut out and examined. Working in mixed-ability groups, the students sorted the
words, discussing their classifications and the roles each word played within sentences.

Once sorted, they glued each word into the correct category on a large chart, reinforcing their
understanding by seeing the distinct characteristics of each part of speech side by side. This

collaborative exercise not only solidified their grasp of grammar concepts but also encouraged
peer learning, as students shared ideas and helped one another identify the proper classifications.
The activity fostered teamwork and hands-on learning, making grammar both engaging and
memorable.
