Year 8
Awards
n Tuesday morning, the Year 8 assembly was
filled with excitement as we gathered to cel-
O ebrate and acknowledge the hard work and
achievements of our year group throughout the term.
The awards were divided into two categories: Nomi-
nation and Data Driven. The award section consisted
of nominations made by students, including recogni-
tion for leadership, citizenship, and special achieve-
ments. The data-driven awards were based on aca-
demic excellence and the accumulation of Blue Stars
in our school’s information management system
(SIMS).
As the awards were announced, my heart swelled
with joy when my name was called for the leader-
ship and peer mentorship award. Standing before my
classmates, I felt a deep sense of pride and gratitude.
The celebration continued with a captivating musical
Article by interlude by Kenechuku and an engaging speech by
Sereen Abou Hassan | Year 8 Benue
Jadon.
