        Spirit of Gallardo

Mascots boost the spirits of all and at Gallardo Elementary; our mascot

is front and center every Friday morning. You can fi nd the mascot
rain or shine dancing to music and waving to students, parents, and
staff as the morning drop-off routines take place.

Why is our mascot important? Well, several of our students would
like to share why. A fourth-grader stated, “It is fun to get out of my

car and hear the music and see the Cardinal waving.” A fi fth-grade
student added, “I have been here since I was in second grade and
every year I have seen the Cardinal on Fridays, the Cardinal always
makes me happy.” A third-grade student excitedly said, “I can’t wait
for Friday’s too high-fi ve the Cardinal in the morning.”
