As Ukraine’s major cities bear witness to the largest conflict to engulf Europe since World
War II, the United States, the European Union and the United Kingdom have unleashed
deep and broad sanctions against Russia. Despite sanctions on Russian banks, and Germany
halting the process of certifying the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, the conflict rages on. Here we
look at the knock-on effects for the UK gas industry and Europe at large
