Let me come back to the question of the ancient Jews philosophy
about life and outcome. The assertion that everything that we may
ever need is already there for us to take because we inherit the
nature of God. The reason why God doesn’t allow us to snap our
fingers and have it all is to avert the disaster that would arise
because life would become meaningless. So, God created a gap
to allow us to work for that which we want. Therefore, we have the
illusion that we are the cause of the thing instead of it being handed
to us. Some of you may be thinking ‘what a load of crap is this’ I
thought so at the beginning of my understanding of the principle
too. I have since tested it and I enjoin you to test it too and the
result will astound you. I have taught my coaching clients about
the principles too and they can swear by it that it works. So, what
are you testing, you may ask? I would share it with you now.
It is the question of uncontrollable factors. Some people think the
phrase ‘Let go and let God’ is a lame excuse for lazy people. I
wouldn’t go as far as saying that you must not take action towards
your goals. The idea is that you take all the actions to help you
towards your goal and let go of the outcome. Switch off your
thoughts about the outcome because focusing obsessively on it
will just spiritually take it farther away from you. This principle was
brought home to me by a transaction I did about 10 years ago. I
did a business transaction sometimes ago and the business
partner became quite unreasonable about it and we ended up in a
court. The amount involved was around £100000. When you go to
the court, be prepared to lose because it is the nature of worldly
justice system. There is the possibility that sometimes the court
system is not about who is right but who argues the best position
with the right kind of lawyer. At the beginning, it felt a bit stressful.
Somehow, I remembered this principle I am sharing with you now.
Then I said to myself, I would do my best to argue my case
because I have done nothing wrong. However, if the Judge says
pay the money, I would still be ok with it because I could have lost
that money in any other deals. The key principle is that ‘You cannot
lose what truly belongs to you’ The case was dismissed because I
let go of the outcome. It could have been a different outcome if I
didn’t apply this principle. Accept what you cannot control totally
and feel like, you will be ok with the outcome whatever it is. You
stand a better chance of achieving a favorable outcome.
