Half Blood Knot
Also called the clinch knot, this is a
simple method of tying fishing line to
a swivel or a hook with an eye. As
with all nylon monofilament fishing
line, the turns of this knot will bed
down best if lubricated with a little
moisture.
1 Put the end of the line through the eye of
the hook.
2 Twist the short end round the main part of
the line three or four times.
3 Tuck the end of the line back through the
start of the twist.
4 Finally, pull tight (practice line may need a
little coaxing and nylon a little lubrication).
5 Finished knot in practice line.
