Palomar Knot

               Quick and simple to

               tie, the Palomar knot
               is a strong and

               secure way of
               attaching any type of
               fishing line, even the

               most slippery of
               monofilament nylon,

               to a fishing hook
               with an eye. Wet the
               knot with a little

               saliva after it is tied
               to help it pull up

               neat and snug.

1 Near the end of the

                   fishing line pull a
                   bight of the line

                   through the eye of
                   the hook.
               2 Take the bight under

                   the standing two

                   parts of the line,
                   round and down
                   through the loop

                   making an overhand
                   knot.
               3 Bring the bight over

                   the end of the hook.
