Pocket Guide to Knots & Splices
Six-strand crown sennit
1 Make a crown knot with six strands. Pull
as tight as possible—but there will always
be a slight hole in the middle.
2 Repeat the crown—in the same direction
if a round sennit is required and in the
alternate direction if a hexagonal sennit is
wanted. If you want, a core can be put in
the middle to fill the hole that forms in the
center of the sennit.
3 Repeat until the required length is made.
