                          5)  Advancement to Candidacy  between12-18 credit hours
                              with  a  cumulative  3.25  average  or better. A  completed
                              application for Advancement to Candidacy must be
                              submitted to the Registrar’s office prior to applying to sit
                              for the comprehensive examination.
                          6)  Students needs to schedule to take Comp Exam after
                              meeting requirements for Advancement to Candidacy.
                          7)  Students may only take the Comp Exam 2 times! If a
                              student fails the comp exam, they may take the exam only
                              one (1) time and if their comp exam score is within 30
                              points of a score of 325 out of 400 points.

               Additional Information

               Students, who are currently enrolled in Master of Business Administration
               and Master in Management Information Systems, are eligible to apply to the
               MPA Program. Course requirements leading to the MPA degree will depend
               upon the following:

                          1.  The desired field of interest (Public Policy and
                              Management, Human Resource Management or General
                              Concentration);
                          2.  The courses completed previously, and
                          3.  The applicant’s professional work experience  in the
                              intended field of study.
               In addition, undergraduate students upon completion of their Bachelors’
               Degree from History and Government and Criminal Justice are invited to
               apply to the MPA program.

               Certificate in Public Management

               Qualified applicants may pursue the  Certificate in Public Management,
               which is a fifteen (18) credit-hour program. The certificate program is well
               suited to those individuals who already hold degrees in non-related fields of
               study but serve as program  executive/managers in a publicly funded or
               nonprofit organization with five or more years of experience. Those who are
