Degree Completion Requirements

               All degree requirements must be completed within a maximum of seven
               consecutive years. Students  may be subject to dismissal from the MPA
               program under the following conditions:

                       •   If a  student receives three “C” grades during their
                          matriculation in the MPA program.
                       •   If a student receives two “F” or “FW” grade during their
                          matriculation in the MPA program.
                       •   Student may not repeat a graduate course more than one time
                          without special permission.
                       •   Students will be allowed no more than two attempts to pass
                          the comprehensive examination.
               The comprehensive examination questions will be based upon topics from
               the following three academic domains:


                       1.  Public Policy Analysis
                       2.  Qualitative Research
                       3.  Organization Behavior
               The Graduate School is responsible for and administers the Comprehensive
               Examination two times each year: the fall and spring semesters. Students
               must be advanced to candidacy prior to  taking the comprehensive
               examination.

               The Comprehensive Examination may not be taken before the student has
               completed the following requirements:

                          1)  All required prerequisite courses.
                          2)  A Program of Study completely signed by the Program
                              Coordinator, Dean of the College of Business and the Dean
                              of the Graduate  School, and on record in Graduate
                              Studies.
                          3)  Completed all prerequisites if conditionally admitted.
                          4)  Completed the following courses:
                                         •   PUAD 502 Qualitative Research
                                         •   PUAD 630 Public Policy Analysis,
