1. Must have completed at least 21 credits in their Department of Counseling
program major before applying to the MHCO program
2. Must have at minimum an overall GPA of 3.5 in their Department of
Counseling program (School Counseling or Counseling Psychology)
3. Must have an interview with the Program Coordinator for the Mental Health
Counseling program, Dr. Norton, about transferring into MHCO program
4. Must have the recommendation of two full time Department of Counseling
professors to change majors to Mental Health Counseling.
5. If approved, they must complete a new Program of Study which is for the
Mental Health Counseling Program.
