It was Breaux's variety of experiences in higher education
that made her the top candidate to the Board of Regents for
the University System of Maryland, which oversaw the search
and selection process.
"She has a broad range of backgrounds – academics, student
affairs, advancement," said Robert L. Caret, the chancellor of
the University System of Maryland. "It's a long list of
leadership efforts she has been involved with on those three
campuses. We believe she has all the skills to hit the road
running."
