The institution conducts orientation to the newly-hired faculty on its institutional vision and
mission, CSC, PRC, DBM, and administration policies on their duties and responsibilities,
benefits and other academic concerns.
e. Faculty Development
Faculty members are committed and accountable for providing
classroom instruction hence they are expected to possess comprehensive
knowledge and apply a wide range of teaching process to achieve quality
education. To sustain the effectiveness of the faculty, an aggressive faculty
development program is implemented by the Isabela State University to
improve professional qualifications of faculty members and the faculty
profile of the university. It also serves to update knowledge and
teaching/work competencies and capabilities of faculty and non- teaching
personnel along their respective fields of specialization and capabilities. A
faculty development plan is being implemented by the University with the
following objectives:
1. to improve professional qualifications of faculty members
and the faculty profile of the University; and
2. to update the knowledge and teaching/ work competencies
of faculty and non-teaching personnel along fields of
specialization suited to the person’s interest and
capabilities and in consonance with the priority needs of
the University.
To attain the foregoing objectives, the following strategies were undertaken:
1. provision of study grants, fellowships and tuition fee
exemption for qualified personnel;
