Blooming Time, Let’s Go Flower Viewing!

In addition to maintaining parks and street trees and providing comfortable spaces for
recreations in Taipei City, the Taipei Parks and Street Lights Office also hosts a series of flower
and gardening exhibitions seasonally and during festivals. With the efforts by the Office in
recent years, it is no longer necessary to take a long vacation flying to Japan, the Netherlands,
etc. for flowers viewing and picnics. Nowadays, it has become a nationwide activity. In Taipei, all
kinds of flower shows are available everywhere and all year round.

Taipei Flower Series, the Beauty of the Four Seasons Flower Shows

The top five parks with most flower shows’ visitors for the year is as followed:
1.The Yangming Mountain Flower Season, is the first choice for cherry blossom viewing, with
more than one million people per year; 2.The Lohas Night Cherry Blossoms Season, with the
beauty of lighting on cherry blossoms in the night, attracts 200,000 visitors every year; 3.The
Shilin Chiang Kai-Shek Residence tulip exhibition, creates a romantic ocean of tulips, attracting
430,000 people to enjoy the feeling of immersion; 4.The rose exhibition in Taipei Rose Garden,
fulfill visitors’ experience of viewing roses’ beautiful color; 5.Chrysanthemums exhibition at
Shilin Chiang Kai-Shek Residence, showcases the superb cultivation skills for chrysanthemums,
attracts more than 600,000 flower lovers.Among them, the Shilin Chiang Kai-Shek Residence
and the Yangmingshan flower season are more internationally renowned, and were even
invited to participate in the "Council of Asian Flower Exhibition (CAFE)" and "International
Horticulture Goyang Korea" exhibitions. In addition to sharing and exchanging with Asian
countries, we can also promote the floral gardening industry and develop urban tourism industry
to enhance the international visibility of Taipei City and advertise the beauty of Taipei City in
the international market.
